Terms of Reference
To advise and recommend policies to SLC Council on issues which the Council or one of its committees has referred;
To monitor existing SLC policies and identify and advise on any omissions or inconsistencies;
To recommend interpretations of the Management & Operations agreement to Council;
To advise on the development of policy on matters pertaining to the Council, its Constitution, the purpose and guidelines for designated funds, or any other such matter as referred by the Council or one of its committees;
To ensure that all policies are congruent with University policies and regulations;
To submit a report to Council at its regularly scheduled meetings.

SLC ACCESSIBILITY COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference
To advise SLC Council on issues pertaining to accessibility;
To promote and encourage accessibility throughout the SLC in both its programming and operations;
To discuss and recommend innovative accessibility policies or projects which can be referred to the SLC Policy Committee and/or the SLC Finance & Operations Committee;
To advise Council or its committees on best practices pertaining to accessibility and built environments;
To explore and develop proposals for accessibility funding from external sources;
To develop strategic accessibility plans for the SLC;
To submit a report to Council at its regularly scheduled meetings.

Terms of Reference
To advise on matters pertaining to energy management and sustainability within the SLC;
To uphold the SLC Energy Management Policy and develop implementation strategies;
To promote and encourage energy management and sustainability throughout the SLC;
To monitor energy consumption patterns within the SLC and propose utilities management initiatives;
To ensure proper waste diversion facilities and procedures for all relevant parties within the SLC
To oversee the implementation of projects as assigned by SLC Council;
To submit a report to Council at its regularly scheduled meetings.

To advise on SLC Facilities Budget and oversee its monthly statements;
To advise on SLC signage and reservation policies;
To develop and implement financial best practices for the SLC as it pertains to the SLC Facilities Budget;
To advise on project prioritization and capital projects within the SLC;
To advise on operational purchases that fall under the SLC Facilities Budget;
To identify and recommend measures designed to contribute to the long-term financial sustainability of the SLC;
To review capital expenditure projects totalling $10,000 or more or as referred by Council;
To advise on deferred maintenance costs facing the SLC;
To submit a report to Council at its regularly scheduled meetings.

To review and advise the landlord on any requests for structural changes to space throughout the SLC;
